How To ‘Mind’ Your
Success
The human mind has always been a topic of discussion what
with an air of mystery always surrounding it. It is only the
brain that has the edge over the parts of our body in helping
us communicate whatever we want, to the outside world.

The power of turning all your dreams into realities lies
with your brain provided you believe that you can make it
happen.
If you think you have the will power to make things happen,
then the mind plays the biggest role of pushing you to the fore
and encouraging you to achieve them. An apt example would be
that of those affected by cancer. A certain medicine called the
placebo pills were prescribed for the cancer patients. Albeit
the pills did not possess any powers to cure them, the very
belief in the patients that those pills were supposed to be
effective in fighting cancer helped in curing them. This is
evident enough that your very thoughts and beliefs can go a
long way in helping you succeed. The idea that those placebo
pills were a good remedy for the patients was driven into their
minds and keeping that in mind, the patients devoutly followed
the prescription.
The mind is capable of not just healing us but also helps us
achieve just anything. Once you have made up your mind to
perform a particular task, you must start imagining that you
are already heading towards the goal post. Irrespective of how
small or big your aspirations may be, the first step is to
visualize yourself as already having won it. This will
subconsciously help you in striving harder towards the real
goal.
When I say that you must visualize yourself as having
realized what you want, it also implies that you must not stop
with visualizing but put yourself into action. Make sure that
your dreams and ideals are motivating enough to push you
further on your path to victory.
A major mental block in the minds of many that hinders them
from going ahead is their cluttered minds. We have so many
problems to deal with about which we are forever brooding thus
causing ourselves illnesses. Some of us even get complacent
when we are bogged down by our woes and decide not to go
further.
In such cases, my advice to you would be to think that the
problem you are facing is of a trivial nature and that it is
attainable. There is this story of a weightlifter who exhibited
difficulty in lifting weights exceeding 300 lbs, seeing which
the coach convinced him that the weights were of 300 lbs only.
The weightlifter mustered up all his strengths and successfully
lifted it only to be told later that the weights actually
weighed 350 lbs. The coach had psychologically trained him to
think that the weights were not heavy and the trick worked!
So, it may be said that whether or not you want to succeed
depends on your mind. If you believe in yourself, then you will
always be the winner. Train your mind to think that you can and
you will overcome hurdles successfully and reach your goal and
that mind 'mantra' will help you win. Of course, this
determination should be accompanied by your initiative, your
vision of seeing yourself at the victory stand and action.
