Decide, in advance, what definite major purpose your business will fulfill. If all you can come up with is make money - get a job working for someone else. Carefully defined and realistic goals are the next step. It has been said that most people overestimate what they can do in one year and underestimate what they can do in ten years. Timed limits are the final step. Goals need a date for completion. There is a rule of business, which states that, the difficulty and magnitude of a job increases proportionally with the amount of time allowed to complete it. By limiting the amount of time to reach a goal, you create the necessary urgency and focus you need to overcome obstacles and cut out all the unnecessary tasks that do not contribute directly to success.
